How to check your MEPCO bill in 3 steps

  1. Find your number. Take any old MEPCO bill and look near the top, in the Consumer Detail area, for the 14-digit reference number — or use the 10-digit consumer ID printed just below it.
  2. Enter it above and press Check Bill. Type only the digits — no spaces, and leave off the U or R letter at the end of the reference number.
  3. Your bill opens. The latest bill appears on the official PITC page with the payable amount, due date and units consumed. Print it, save it as a PDF, or pay it straight from your banking or wallet app.

The whole process takes under a minute — and works with a 10-digit consumer ID too.
Tip: Tick “Save my number on this device” and next month the box will already be filled in — the number stays only in your own browser, never on our servers.

Service area13 districts of South Punjab (listed below)

MEPCO (Multan Electric Power Company) distributes electricity across South Punjab from its head office in Multan. Bill records for MEPCO and the other public distribution companies are held by PITC, the Power Information Technology Company, which is why every genuine online bill opens on the PITC portal.

MEPCO areas served

If your home or business is in any of these 13 districts, your bill is a MEPCO bill and can be checked on this page:

The 13 districts are administered through MEPCO’s nine operation circles. Day-to-day work sits with your local sub-division (SDO) office; the circle office is where an unresolved matter is escalated — and the circle that serves you is also named in the header of your printed bill:

Frequently asked questions

How can I check my MEPCO bill online?
Enter your 14-digit reference number in the checker at the top of this page and press Check Bill. Your latest bill opens in a new tab on the official PITC bill page, showing the amount, due date and units used. It is free and takes less than a minute.
Where is my MEPCO reference number?
It is printed near the top of any old MEPCO bill, in the Consumer Detail area, labelled “Reference No”. It has 14 digits followed by a letter such as U or R. Type only the 14 digits, without spaces or the letter. Full guide: MEPCO reference number.
Can I check my bill with a consumer ID instead?
Yes. Your 10-digit consumer ID (also called customer ID) is printed on the bill below the reference number. Choose the Consumer ID tab in the checker and enter those 10 digits.
Is checking a MEPCO bill online free?
Yes, completely free. You do not need an account, a login or an app. You only pay when you actually pay the bill itself.
Can I check a MEPCO bill by CNIC or meter number?
No. The official PITC system finds bills only by the 14-digit reference number or the 10-digit consumer ID — not by CNIC, name, phone or meter number. If you have lost your bill, look for the number in your bank or wallet app payment history, or contact MEPCO on 118 or 0800-63726.
Why did the PITC search page open instead of my bill?
Occasionally, especially on a first visit from a phone, PITC shows its search page instead of going straight to the bill. The checker saves you the trouble: your number appears in a panel after you submit — copy it, paste it into the PITC search box, and your bill opens. Also allow pop-ups/new tabs in your browser for this site.
How do I download or print my MEPCO bill?
Open your bill with the checker, then use the printer icon on the PITC bill page to print it or save it as a PDF. That copy is your duplicate bill and is accepted for payment everywhere.
